Somebody I Thought I Knew
featuring
Songs, Stories, and Sketches
by
Harold Gertner

The Somebody I Thought I Knew video series and blog is an avenue for Harold to share his creative output. Consisting of a video concert posted every few weeks (at least once a month) presenting originals and covers, both solo performances and band performances with special guests. This first post is a few out takes from my first attempt at a video concert, next go around will the complete deal. Additionally there will be a companion link with the each video concert containing another downloadable audio or video file or two at a time (ep’s and live performances by Harold: solo and with previous band projects including: Woodgrain, the Late, the Loons, Cuntry Rails, and possibly even Otis & the Lazy Bones), a short story or two (a recent pursuit), and a few high resolution reproductions (ready-to-print) of Harold’s painting and oil pastels pieces.
Also the Somebody I Thought I Knew facebook group (soon to be formed, look for it!) will act as a more open platform where others can share similar videos of creative performance endeavors: music, drama, comedy, video, and performance art, whatever…share it!

Hey Yall,
I’ve been one of the worst for years and years on end now about keeping in touch and sharing what I’m up to. But, hopefully this ‘Somebody I Thought I Knew’ series will be a means to reconnect will many old friends from years spent running around Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. I know we’re all dispersed a good bit further than that now, but I miss the closeness and ease with which we used to share and enjoy each others’ company. I know I’ve got a bunch of real creative friends out there working on some real cool stuff; let’s take the time to share some of it and re-connect. I’ve got nothing but love for you people, wishing yall the best and hoping to hear from some of those old, once familiar, voices again…soon!

Ps. Please forward this to anyone I left out or anyone you think might enjoy it, thanks!
